Ah, the classic Ibiza summer job – working behind a bar. This is one of the most sought after jobs on the party island and for good reason; it’s the best way to get fully immersed in the Ibiza nightlife. That is, of course, if they’re prepared for some truly hard graft. This is one of the messier jobs out there; you’ll be rushed off your feet, sweating buckets, and covered in spilled Sambuca, but as the experienced Ibiza bar workers out there will tell you, it’s all part of the fun.

Ibiza bar workers need to have a relentless work ethic as they’re often on duty 6 out of 7 nights of the week. They work late into the night (or shall we say early into the morning) and in the busiest clubs and bars service will simply be non-stop for hours. Plus, they’re usually working at a very basic wage; the way to make good money in this line of work is to just take on as many hours as possible.

Think you can handle it? If so, you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly fun working environment. If you’re in Ibiza for the music, bar work is a great way to immerse yourself in the very best of it and earn money at the same time. You can have a dance as you dish out shots and sing along whilst you shake up some cocktails! Plus, you tend to get free drinks and shots whilst you’re working, so you’ll be able to get that Ibiza buzz with each and every shift if you want to.

You also need to be really on the ball as bark work jobs get filled up incredibly quickly; make sure to apply well in advance of the summer season.
